What are the requirements and process?

I hope it will help you a lot. For your kind information, UPSC is not a simple and nominal exam. Besides good preparation you all aspirants need to grab other qualities continuously. Such as Confidence, Courage, Dedication, Perseverance, and don’t give up.

>NDA/NA exam is conducted by UPSC every year. If you are interested to join Indian Navy then you have to crack UPSC exam. After clearing all round necessary training will be provided as per Indian Navy rules.

What should be your Age limit in this profession? you must care about that.

Age Limit: NDA/NA exam age limit is between 16 and half years and 19 years. Age limit is restricted for Navy. You must be conscious about age in this type of job. Your decision is yours. But if you genuinely interested then hurry up your process because time is short.

What is the Eligibility criteria?

Eligibility Criteria: Candidate must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board in India. The students appearing for 10+2 can also apply. You must have studied Mathematics and Physics in 10+2. You must be from a science background.

Other condition: The main thing is all candidates must be unmarried and physically strong and fit. Married persons are not allowed in this profession.

How much salary for different posts of Navy?

Salary of different posts: The average Indian Navy monthly salary ranges from approximately ₹ 17,324 per month for Architect to ₹ 50,523 per month for Petty Officer. The average Indian Navy salary ranges from approximately ₹ 4,00,000 per year for Administration Executive to ₹ 6,85,693 per year for Engineer.

What is the Exam time of every year of the Indian Navy?

Notification and conduct of Exam: Every year UPSC reveals notification in the month of October-November & April-May and conducts of exam in the month of April-May & Sept-Oct.

Training: After completing written and interview training will be provided in the National Defence Academy,  followed by Indian Military Academy, Dehradun

What are the processes to get an entry in the Indian Navy?

1)TES Entry (Technical Entry Scheme) (Navy): Applications are invited from UNMARRIED MALE CANDIDATES (fulfilling the conditions of nationality as laid down by the Govt. of India) to join the prestigious Indian Navy.

Eligibility: You Passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent examinations from any Board recognized by Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE) with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM-Passing in each subject mandatory) and at least 50% marks in English (either in Class X or Class XII).

Training: Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala for a four-year degree course in engineering.

2) CDSE Entry (Combined Defence Services Examination): CDS (Combined Defense Services) is the common entrance exam to recruit unmarried male and female (including widows and divorcees who haven’t remarried) candidates in all the three spheres of the Indian defense services, i.e. Indian Military, Navy, and Air Force. The Union Public Service Commission(UPSC)is responsible to conduct the CDS exam at All India level.
The CDS Exam is held twice in a year in February and November for which the official notification is published in November and August respectively.

Eligibility: Here for this exam eligibility is the same for all the candidates same as NDA/NA exam. Candidates applying for CDSE must be a citizen of India. If you are from Nepal, Bhutan and Tibetan refugee, Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka and East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, and Ethiopia or Vietnam are also eligible but only after subject to fulfilment eligibility criteria as the rule of Government of India.

>Graduate degree is compulsory for all. It must be from recognized University.
