To fulfill a dream as a Pilot: In India there are so many prestigious and dream jobs. Pilot job is one of the dream jobs of many young fresh graduates. What are the qualifications and qualities required of a Pilot?

>There are two routes that enable one to pursue aviation as a career.
Civil Aviation (Non-Military Aviation/ Commercial Pilot), Indian Defence Forces (Air Force)

Educational qualification: To be a Pilot in India you just need to pass 12th standard and also should score 50% in Physics, Maths, Chemistry.

Student Pilots: for a student pilot, you must be at least 16 years old and able to read, write and speak English.

Private Pilots: Applicants must be at least 17 years old and able to read, write and speak English. Also, you must complete the necessary ground and flight training.

Commercial Pilots and Flight Instructors: In both cases, aspirants must be at least 18 years old and must able to read, speak, write and understand English.

Airline Transport Pilots: Most ATP applicants must be 23 years old but certain pilots may obtain the certificate at age 21.

College Degree: While a college degree is not compulsory but it is required for the time being. Much non-science background becomes pilot if they have good math and reasoning knowledge. Airlines prefer mainly science background.
